The feel of the neighbourhood
Liberty Village sits on land that once held factories and a prison, bounded by rail lines and the Gardiner. Since the early 2000s it has filled in with condo towers around a pedestrian-friendly core of restored brick buildings.
It is one of the youngest neighbourhoods in the city, and it feels that way: fitness studios, brunch spots and plenty of dogs on the sidewalks.
Living here
Groceries, a pharmacy and everyday services are all inside the neighbourhood. Exhibition GO station connects you to Union in minutes, and the waterfront and Trinity Bellwoods are a short walk or bike ride away.
What to know about the condo market
Liberty Village offers some of downtown’s more approachable price points, which makes it popular with first-time buyers. Layouts, exposure and noise from the rail corridor matter here, so we help you weigh those carefully.
